Lost River Gorge Operations Manager

REPORTS TO: White Mountains Attraction Association Operations Manager, President, and Board of Directors

STATUS: April-November, Full-time Seasonal, Exempt. There may be off-season work that will
be paid hourly.

HOURS: $20+ based on experience. Weekend and Holiday availability required.

Note: When this seasonal management position ends in November, the marketing duties, gift
shop purchasing, and administration are taken over by the White Mountains Attractions
Association’s main office until the Lost River Manager returns in the Spring.


  • High school diploma, or equivalent, three years of supervisory or management
    experience, and knowledgeable in computer hardware and software.
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership, management, team, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills with the ability to
    build good working relationships with employees, superiors, partners, and vendors.
  • Ability to meet changing conditions, problem solve, multi-task, make decisions, and be
    detail oriented.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and some evenings.
  • Physically able to walk through the Gorge and its 1,000+ stairs multiple times a day in
    clear to inclement weather conditions. This person, in the performance of their duty,
    may be required to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs.
