Wendy has been teaching and coaching others how to eat healthily, lead an active lifestyle, and cultivate a stress-free living environment through mindfulness practices for more than 20 years.
As a plant-forward personal chef service, she understands how complicated it can be to know what to eat to stay nourished. Everywhere you turn, someone’s telling you something you “should” be eating or telling you about a “bad” food. Forget figuring out what to put on the plate-you already don’t have time (or the desire) to shop, prepare it, and clean it all up afterwards!
Plant-based, plant-forward, and plant-rich eating means that the majority of the food on your plate comes from plant sources including fruits, veggies, legumes, whole grains, nuts, and seeds.
Plant-based and plant-forward have become trendy and commercialized which means, the labeling isn’t always telling you the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth! We’re seeing highly processed, not-so-healthy products (you know, the plant-based “meats” and sauces with sketchy ingredients)! Roots & Roses, does plant-forward cooking differently so YOU can experience true nourishment and thrive. They use real ingredients and cook from scratch. Their produce is purchased locally, as much as possible, within a 20-mile radius. Roots & Roses creates with seasonality in mind and uses ingredients that are shelf stable with five whole food ingredients or less.
