The season begins with a bright splash, Dvorak’s Carnival Overture. It’s zippy, colorful, and brilliant
opening and closing surround a central poetic section which is simply beautiful. We will then perform
one of the premier showpieces for the violin, Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto with the fabulous soloist,
Andrés Cárdenes and finish the night with Beethoven’s stirring Symphony No. 7. This opening
program of core repertoire will provide tons of thrills.
