Squam River American Northern Inuit Dogs (SRANID) is a family-run small-scale breeder of American Northern Inuit dogs, based in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. The breed was originally developed to look like timber wolves, but are not wolf hybrids. Bred for intelligence, as well as for a calm, friendly temperament, they are best known from their role as the direwolves in the television series “Game of Thrones.”
SRANID is committed to breeding the finest American Northern Inuit dogs, while strengthening and improving the health and longevity of the breed. We raise our puppies in a family home to become well socialized pets.
We adhere to the Code of Ethics of the breeders’ group Northern Inuits International Unleashed, as well as to a structured breeding strategy to ensure the healthy future of this beautiful breed, while spreading public awareness and appreciation for it.
