Ski & Snow Activities

Explore the White Mountains winter playground, where you can ski, snowboard, skate, sled … the possibilities are endless. Did we mention there’s also horse-drawn sleigh rides, dog sledding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ice-climbing, and ice-fishing? Excited for winter yet?

The weather conditions can be extreme and change from hour-to-hour; they even warranted a visit from the Weather Channel’s winter enthusiast Jim Cantore.

Campton Mountain

Built in 1969, Campton Mountain Ski Area is a true vintage New Hampshire ski facility. The original Swiss-made 1969 Städeli compact double chairlift and a custom beginners’ rope tow bring skiers of all abilities to the three main trails (beginner, intermediate, and expert) which average 1,550′ in length.

Campton Mountain has offered night skiing for more than 30 years and lights up at night with 35+, 500-watt halogen lights. While the Campton Mountain is privately owned by the Waterville Estates community, the general public has always been warmly welcomed to come share in the experience.
